Job Description

Revenue Recognition Team Leader is a group liable for managing the whole income recognition lifecycle—ensuring correct, compliant, and properly timed revenue recording according to requirements like ASC 606 and SOX. You’ll oversee billing, reconciliations, settlement assessment, and approach upgrades in the course of worldwide clients and finance structures.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Billing & AR: Coordinate invoicing, credit score notes, and receivables evaluation; ensure completeness of billed/unbilled balances.
  • Revenue Recognition Compliance: Ensure earnings are diagnosed consistently with ASC 606; lead duration-forestall reconciliations and documentation for auditors.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, compare, and manually organize members on earnings strategies, system entries, and manage protocols.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with finance features (FP&A, Tax, Legal), agency companies (e.g., SEC/Controllership), and Shared Service Centers to keep robust management and governance.
  • Process Automation: Enhance normal performance by automating obligations through tools like Alteryx, Power BI, PowerShell, or robotic bots.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Build dashboards and status critiques to screen earnings, key performance indicators (KPIs, and billing development.
  • Audit Readiness: Support external and outdoor audits with the aid of maintaining SOX-compliant documentation, tool notes, and managing logs.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field; superior credentials (CA/CPA/MBA) preferred.

Experience: 5–eight+ years in finance roles (AR, sales reputation, shared services); 2+ years in a leadership role.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong statistics of ASC 606, SOX controls, and billing-to-GL flows.
  • Proficiency with ERP structures (e.g., PeopleSoft, Yardi, OneStream), Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and automation machines.

Soft Skills:

  • An analytical mindset with a pressure for accuracy and manner development.
  • Excellent conversation, stakeholder manipulation, and crew control.
  • Ability to control more than one priority, meet final dates, and artwork in the US/EMEA time zones.
