Job Description
Boeing Global Services is looking for a Senior Programme Manager with extensive experience to be in charge of post-delivery aircraft interior modification projects. Working with several different groups, this position is responsible for managing the complete integration of an aircraft with new devices, and is also accountable for delivering according to the schedules and budgets agreed upon. The applicant’s required qualities are high programme management knowledge, which is preferable in the aerospace, engineering, or MRO sectors.
The candidate hired will be the contact point who will work with the airline’s customers, the engineering team, the logistics team, and the airworthiness team, implementing the project from getting the award to completion, thus achieving the best results in execution, financial control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the customer focal point from the airline community, and manage in detail every stage of the programme implementation.
- Be responsible for delivery schedules, quality assurance, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Be openly involved in identifying program risks, issues, and opportunities, and enhancing the outcomes to be better.
- Manage the interpersonal side of the program to accomplish contributions positive and or rooted in recipient requirements.
- Organize internal activities to check if the assigned tasks are on the right track with program commitments.
- Organizational effectiveness in holding and managing milestone meetings with clients (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) entails documenting meeting results and furthering the progress through the action plans.
- Reform customer expectations for the engineering teams in the format of requirement manuals.
- Given a full program status update in a weekly report, which also includes the milestone schedules as well as the risk summaries.
- Manage customer change requests, including schedule and cost impact assessments.
- Help in preparing business proposals and answering customer RFPs.
- Manage project billing and ensure that all follow-ups for payments are done on time.
- Deliver reports to senior management on programme performance, financial health, and risks.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of relevant programme management experience.
- Experience in aircraft modification, integration projects, or aerospace engineering, just to name a few, with a background in which you are most confident.
- Certification in Programme/Project Management (e.g., PMP, CPM) is the first choice of qualification.
- With or without a STEM college degree, you should be able to bring your experience in the aerospace industry to the table.
- MS Office suite and MS Project software skills at a working level.
- Willing to be gone up to 50% of the time, with the possibility that you might be asked to leave at short notice.
- Initiative to start tasks on your own, with no supervision, coupled with the ability to motivate and lead a cross-functional team.
