Job Description

Suzlon is looking for an experienced Land Development Manager to provide leadership and land acquisition management, statutory approvals, and stakeholder engagement for renewable energy projects. Along with this, the person in charge will also have to secure the land needed for the project and necessary permissions, maintain a legal and regulatory framework, and support the project execution by site turnover to the project teams.

Main duties

  • Control a project site in accordance with the norms and plans laid down, which include land purchase/lease and pathway access with all statutory compliance.
  • Achieve pooling substation land and other necessary lands in accordance with the company’s needs.
  • Collect the consent of the state nodal agencies, central and state authorities for power evacuation permissions.
  • Get consent for the statutory permissions like railway crossing, NH/SH crossing, panchayat NOCs, CRZ, Ministry of Defence, and Airport Authority of India approvals.
  • Create and implement practical land purchasing plans for acquiring and safeguarding sites from other buyers.
  • Watch for activities of rivals in the area of the project and update situations proactively.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, administrative authorities, and community representatives.
  • Carefully check the legality of land documentation provided to avoid risks and legal cases.
  • Right of Way (ROW) documentation and support for the resolution of ROW problems should be managed by you.
  • Find a location for Met Mast erection and make sure that developed sites can be handed over to project teams in a smooth manner.
  • Construct, guide, and upgrade the team to land projects independently and meet their needs.
