Material Resource Planner

Nestler is searching for a qualified Material Resource Planner to be part of he supply chain and the operations team. Resource planning is the most important part of work that helps to ensure the availability of materials without delay, and supports production schedules, thus meeting customers ‘ needs effectively. The planner will be in charge of working with the procurement team, assessing stock levels, and collaborating with the cross-functional teams to maintain the supply chain process efficiently.

Main Activities

• Planning, scheduling, and managing material requirements are necessary to support production and delivery timelines.
• It is the duty of a planner to stabilise inventory to an optimal level, which will prevent the occurrence of shortage or overstock situations.
• Working with purchasing, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure that materials are available at the right time is a planner’s task.
• Based on demand forecasts, production plans, and lead times, they have to come up with accurate material plans.
• They have to keep an eye on material usage closely, trace the differences, and authorize corrective actions that might be required.
• Aside from this, they must also follow company rules, quality standards, and cost-saving methods rigorously.
• Working with an ERP/MRP system, one can easily get the necessary reports and make the whole planning process more efficient.
